 Alex Varden, M.A.

Alex was born in Riga, Latvia (USSR). His musical career starts at age of four, and his talent is honed in performances throughout Latvia, USSR and Europe.

Alex's musical training spans 16 years that culminated in a Master of Arts in Music. Besides music Alex studies Natural Medicine and Psychology.

In Latvia Alex works as  a musical director at the State University, leading actor/singer at the State Musical Theater and Riga Film Studios, as well.

After arrival to the USA he traves throughout Canada, USA and Australia as a musican, and then settles down in sunny LA.

He works at the Los Angeles High-School of Arts, and later at the California State University of Los Angeles as a musical director and vocal coach.

Now prof. Varden works at his home in West Hollywood. He composes and arranges music, and maintains a select list of privately tutored students.

Alex writes and arranges lot of music. His score for Latvian movie "Naked" was nominated at the British Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.

Together with UK writer/producer Terry Hall he is working now on musical movie "Five cups of coffee", starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Adam Garcia, Anthony Celea, Lisa Kelley, and other wonderful talents.

Together with Disney producer David James he has finished a musical animated children book "Big-Foot Detective", and is now is working on full length animation "Alex in Underland", a story about a young camel.

"Out There", musical drama with stellar soprano Dale Christien and  Tony Award Bill Hutton is waiting to see stage lights on Broadway soon.
